Metallic sheen. Blooms of color. Shimmering patina. Pebbled surfaces. In the rustle of shantung and the whisper of chiffon.
Le Studio Anthost transforms fabric into precious material imbued with mystery and magic, material that invites touch, imparts elegance and inspires fantasy.
Sumptuous, bold, diaphanous, embellished: the studio's materials stir the senses.
By handcrafting surfaces with uncommon techniques, the studio offers designers infinite possibilities to enhance their creations and collections.

The Atelier

Le Studio Anthost is one of the world's only artisan workshops that customizes fabrics using sophisticated couturier treatments.

sexpanded to work with interior and bridal designers, and to create Luciole, a line of lighting décor, in collaboration with interior designer Elizabeth Polish.

The studio also releases limited-run print collections, inspired by photos, antique prints, architecture, and nature.

All printing and painting is done by hand. No machines are ever used.

The Founder

Raised near Paris and descended from French nobility, Astrid de Saint Anthost apprenticed in Paris. She learned the basis of her craft at Atelier Dynale, whose clients included Gianfranco Ferré and John Galliano at Dior, Alexander McQueen at Givenchy and Christian Lacroix.

In 1997, Astrid journeyed to New York. Thriving off her new city's energy, she soon established Le Studio Anthost. Since then, she has allied her workshop—now located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn—with New York's most distinguished designers.

Astrid's work appeared in Arbiters of Style: Women at the Forefront of Fashion, an exhibit on the historical significance of women designers and tastemakers, at the Museum at FIT in 2008.
